In short

StorePano runs in your browser. Your screenshots and projects stay on your device and are not sent to us, unless you choose to offer a design for our showcase. Statistics and advertising tools from Google run only if you agree in the cookie banner. Our hosting provider processes the technical data needed to deliver this website.

We have not appointed a data protection officer, as we are not legally required to.

Your projects and screenshots

The images, texts and settings you use in the editor are processed only on your device. Projects are saved in your browser's local storage (IndexedDB). They are not transferred to us or to third parties. You can delete them in the editor or by clearing your browser data. If you do, they are gone, because we have no copy.

The editor also remembers small settings such as panel width in your browser's localStorage. This is necessary for the function you requested and is not used to track you (§ 25 (2) TDDDG).

Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., USA. When you open a page, Netlify's servers process technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, requested address, amount of data transferred, referrer and browser information. This is needed to deliver the website securely and without errors. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in doing so (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

Netlify acts as our processor. Netlify states that it participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and it offers a data processing addendum. Details are in the Netlify privacy statement and trust center.

Cookies, statistics and advertising

Statistics and advertising tools load only after you agree in the cookie banner. Before that, no request goes to Google. If you see no banner, these tools are not active. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time under “Cookie settings” at the bottom of each page, with effect for the future.

Your choice itself is stored in your browser's localStorage so that we don't ask again. This is necessary for the function you requested (§ 25 (2) TDDDG).

Statistics: Google Analytics 4. If you agree, Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, helps us see how many people visit and which pages and functions they use, for example that an export ran. For this, cookies are set and data is processed: online identifiers, pages visited, device and browser information and approximate location. Your images, texts and project names are not sent. Legal basis: § 25 (1) TDDDG and Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. Retention: at most 14 months.

Advertising: Google Ads. If you agree, cookies and similar technologies help us measure whether our ads lead to visits and show our ads to people who have been here. Google may combine this data with other data it holds about you. Legal basis: § 25 (1) TDDDG and Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR.

Google acts as our processor for Analytics and as an independent controller for parts of its advertising services. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, the transfer relies on the EU Commission's adequacy decision. More in Google's business data information and privacy policy.

If you offer a design for the showcase

Next to the export there is a switch that is off by default. Only if you turn it on and confirm in the dialog that follows, we receive a reduced picture of your first screens, the app name you enter and, if you enter one, a link to your app. We store this on our host Netlify (Netlify Blobs), review it and may show it on this website and in our advertising. Rejected designs are deleted. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can withdraw at any time, with effect for the future: under “Shared with the showcase” in the editor, or by email. We then delete the picture and stop using it. The picture should show no personal data of other people.

Contacting us by email

If you email us, we process your address and message to answer you. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR if it concerns the use of StorePano, otherwise our legitimate interest in answering (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). We delete the message once it is dealt with, unless legal retention duties apply. Our mailbox is hosted by Heinlein Hosting GmbH (mailbox.org), Schwedter Straße 8/9A, 10119 Berlin, Germany, under a processing agreement according to Art. 28 GDPR, with data stored in Germany.
